UI DESIGNER
2021

01. PROJECT OVERVIEW

Group 6, consisting of UX/UI designers Stefany Grace Claudia, Muhammad Dian Muhafids, and Heribertus Oktorio, along with project managers Vallent Yudistira Abadhi, Ridwan Noor Riandi, and Abdullah Azzam, decided to revamp the Binar App due to personal challenges faced while using it. They focused on a “low effort, high value” approach, updating features like the table of contents, search bar, upload challenge document, and viewing grades. The team conducted thorough user research and developed comprehensive solutions, resulting in high-fidelity designs to improve user experience and address usability issues.

02. PROJECT GOALS

• To understand user needs for reviewing or searching for specific topics in the Silver chapter of the Binar App.
• To identify the issues users face when reviewing or searching for specific topics in the Silver chapter of the Binar App.
• To discover the problems and requirements users have when uploading challenges in each chapter.
• To uncover the problems and needs users have when checking challenge scores in each chapter.
• To explore the issues and requirements users encounter when using the group discussion feature.

03. WHAT I'VE DONE

As a UX and UI designer, my role involves in-depth UX research and interacting with potential users through interviews and surveys. With these valuable insights, I process the generated data to refine our solutions. Creating the user journey is the next step, where I design task flows, wireframes, wireflows, and bring our vision to life through the creation of a functional prototype. Our UX research process is conducted collaboratively. However, specifically, I handle the taskflow until the prototype of the several flows as follows:
• User exits the table of contents feature (sprint 1)
• User jumps to the previous material through a hyperlink (sprint 1)
• User cannot upload a challenge because they have not finished reading (sprint 2)
• User fails to upload the challenge because the file is too large or in the wrong format (sprint 2)
